Android call forwarding
Use your Android phone's built-in settings to forward calls to your Tinylawn number. The exact path varies by manufacturer.
Device Settings
Before you start
Forwarding keeps the number your customers already have. You choose which calls go on to the answering service, so nothing changes on your website, truck wraps, or Google listing.
You need the Tinylawn number assigned to your
account. Wherever a step shows
[Your Tinylawn Number],
enter that number in its place.
All Calls
Every call goes to Tinylawn. Turn it on at the end of the day for after-hours coverage, or leave it on if Tinylawn is your front desk.
Turn it on
- Open the Phone app on your Android device.
- Tap the three-dot menu (top right) and select Settings.
- Tap Calling accounts and select your SIM card.
- Tap Call forwarding and choose "Always forward."
- Enter your Tinylawn number and tap Turn on or Update.
Turn it off
- Follow the same path: Phone > Settings > Calling accounts > SIM > Call forwarding.
- Select "Always forward" and tap Turn off.
Good to know
- The settings path varies by manufacturer (Samsung, Pixel, OnePlus, etc.).
- On Samsung: Phone app > Settings > Supplementary services > Call forwarding.
- On Pixel: Phone app > Settings > Calling accounts > your carrier > Call forwarding.
Test it before you rely on it
Call your business number from a different phone and let it ring through. Then try the cases you care about: a call while you are already on the line, a call you decline, and a call after hours. Our seven test calls to make before forwarding your number cover the rest.
